Legal Sea Food

Given that today is #NationalOysterDay, blogging about my oyster experience in Boston seemed reasonable, don't cha think? But in all seriousness, eating oysters in Boston was definitely one of the food highlights of my trip.
Although it was a mission and a half to find a seafood restaurant to eat (weird, eh??), we did it!

After many attempts of trying to find a table with a decent wait time (3 hours is not a decent wait time!!), we ended up at Legal Sea Food.

We waited for about 30 minutes, and got seated on the patio. This was nice as we got a view of the water while eating.

We started off with some wine, and then our oysters came.

We decided to try a mixture of all the oysters they had: Merry, Naked Cowboy, Malpeque, and Kusshi. My favorite ones were the Malpeque oysters. They're the perfect size and not too plump, which makes it easy to eat without the overpowering oyster taste.

After we slurped these ones down, we had to get a second serving!! They were too good.

And then our food came!

D ordered the Haddock Char Grilled. It came with two sides and he chose brown rice and fries.

I ordered the Nutty Faroe Island Salmon which was almond encrusted, sautéed in a lemon caper butter sauce. It came with a side of mushroom ravioli and spinach.

My salmon was reallyy good. I enjoyed the almond crust, and the mushroom raviolis were absolutely delicious. The spinach was a little soaked from the sauce, which caused it to be quite heavy, but it was still good. D enjoyed his dish and cleaned his plate with no leftovers haha.
Overall, we enjoyed our time here. With the heat from the day gone, sitting outside with a slight breeze, drinking some wine, and eating seafood was the best last dinner in Boston I could have had.
