Taberna Malaspina

Looking for a good tapas place in Spain is actually harder than it looks. I found Malaspina online as a really good tapas place. We walked over here for dinner, and unfortunately, the patio was already packed! Malaspina was also located in a little alleyway with a lot of other small Spanish bars, so it was a really area.

Inside, not so much. It wasn't that welcoming inside and it had such a rustic feel to it. We were not loving it. The server was also very rude (probably because we were tourists and had lots of questions as to what the items on the menu were).
We ended up just ordering what people said were the best dishes.

This...thing.

And half a roast chicken lol.
Like what? We were so surprised as we were not expecting this at all.
The ham and cheese bread plate was not good. It was so oily! We had to use napkins to try to get out the excess oil but it didn't really work. The chicken was okay... It was quite dry and the meat wasn't really tender, even the dark meat. The best part of this dish was the gravy and fries.
Needless to say, I probably won't go back here again for the food, even though everything on the menu was very cheap. How unfortunate!!
